The Nikon Coolpix S630, released in early 2009, was designed as a high-performance "bridge" between ultra-slim fashion cameras and larger, bulky travel zooms. It was marketed for its speed and ergonomic grip, which was relatively unique for a compact camera at the time.
Ergonomics & Design
Unlike the perfectly flat faces of the "S-series" cameras that preceded it, the S630 introduced a distinctively curved front plate.
The Grip: The right side of the body features a subtle, wave-like bulge. This "Sure Grip" design made it much easier to hold securely with one hand compared to other slippery metal compacts.
Build Quality: It featured a high-quality metallic finish, usually available in Titanium Silver, Black, or Ruby Red
