The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX100, released in 2012, represented a major shift in Sony's compact camera lineup. While the "W" series traditionally used CCD sensors, the "WX" models introduced the Exmor R CMOS sensor, which focused on speed, low-light performance, and high-definition video.
At the time of its launch, it was marketed as the world's smallest and lightest camera to feature a 10x optical zoom.
Design & Portability
The WX100 is incredibly thin, measuring only about 17.5mm (0.69 inches) at its slimmest point.
Ultra-Compact: It was designed to disappear into a shirt pocket, making it significantly smaller than the older W150.
Build: It featured a clean, minimalist metal faceplate with a modern, sleek aesthetic, available in silver, black, pink, white, and brown
